ABOUT MICROBLADING

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure whereby hair like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to attempt to either enhance, reshape or create a natural looking appearance on the brows. The procedure entails the use of a nanoblade, which is dipped into a pigment that has been matched to natural hair colour and skin tone and is then glided along a sketched outline of the brow that has been drawn on and scrutinized beforehand. Whilst only penetrating up to 1mm into the skin, the pigment is deposited simultaneously with the creation of the hair like stroke leaving a feathered outline which will further be filled in the same manner.

BEFORE CARE

  • Do not consume alcohol or pain killers 48 hours prior procedure, No caffeine ( such as coffee, tea, energy drink)  24 hours before procedure

  • Do not wax or tint 3 days before procedure

  • Botox treatments should be done 2 weeks prior or 3weeks after procedure

  • Do not use chemical peels 30 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)

  • Do not use Retinol / Retin-A or other anti-aging over brow area or forehead area 3-4 weeks prior appointment.

  • Do not use Retinol / Retin-A or other anti-aging / acne creams, or serums containing acids as these can prematurely fade brows.

  • Do not work out or sweat heavily from the day of the procedure until 1-2  weeks after

  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure

  • Do not take aspirin, Advil, niacin, vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure or any kind of blood thinner (if prescribed by your primary Doctor, consult with your Doctor before you stop taking them)

  • If you are required premedication before Dental appointments (please ask your primary doctor if you require to Premedicate 1hour prior your Microblading session).

AFTER CARE

   It is very important to prevent sweat, soap, lotion, and makeup from coming in contact with your eyebrows for  10-14 days until scab is gone.

  • Do not use / pour hot water on the micro pigmented area at all. Hot water, salt water, or sweat will draw and push the ink out of the brow

  • Do not go for hot saunas, baths, or jacuzzi 

  • Do not pick, peel, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment

  • Do not touch your brows unless your hands are clean for applying the after care treatment

  • Do not go for sun / salon tanning

  • Do not do any kind of strenuous exercise or activities that induce perspiration

  • Do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol as this can slow the healing process

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in infections, pigment loss, or discoloration.

PLEASE NOTE: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures. 

PERMANENT MAKEUP IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY CLIENTS WHO ARE OR HAVE:

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • Diabetic (unles is under control)

  • Anemia 

  • Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)

  • Viral infections and/or diseases

  • A Pacemaker or major heart problems

  • Had an Organ transplant 

  • Skin irritations near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)

  • Sick (cold, flu, etc.)

  • Had Botox in the past 10 days

  • Used Accutane in the past year

POLICY

  • Appointments are required, No walk-ins allowed (unless we have a last minute opening)

  • Without deposit appointments won't be warranty (it prevents no shows or last-minute cancelations)

  • We only accept cash, Venmo or Apple Pay, cash app (Personal checks are not accepted)

  • There is a non-refundable deposit of $50 in order to lock your appointment. You can pay the remaining balance either by cash or card during your scheduled appointment

  • Please allow 48 hours or more to cancel. If you cancel after 48 hours, you lose the deposit.

  • Deposit is non-refundable (no exceptions). Rescheduling appointments are based on availability. Please understand that while unforeseen circumstances arise, it not only affects Maribel's schedule but other clients as well

  •  If you cancel or miss your touch-up appointment because of your own scheduling conflicts, or do not show up for your appointment for whatever reason, or reschedule outside the 4-8 weeks touch-up window, a touch-up fee will apply depending on when you reschedule it. (** All touch-up treatments are only one session)

  • No shows or same day cancelation are charged $50 if this was a touch up included in your package you won't get it until the $50 cancelation fee is pay (this is only if you never paid your deposit); if you do not show up for your touch-up, you can reschedule the appointment and a touch-up fee will apply depending on when you reschedule it.

  • If you are late by 15 minutes or more, your appointment is subject to either being rescheduled or canceled (deposit is non-refundable)

  • NOTE: Due to COVID regulations please come solo, we won't allow people on the waiting area, any companion can wait in the car until your procedure is done.
